Corroded manholes drive I&I, damage treatment plants, and hide worse defects below.

Hydrogen sulfide, groundwater infiltration, and years of freeze-free Florida acid attack turn concrete manholes into the weakest link in a collection system. CEI's rehab program addresses the mechanism — not just the appearance — of that deterioration.

  • Stops inflow and infiltration at the chimney, frame-to-cone joint, and cone-to-riser joints
  • Restores compromised wall thickness with high-strength, corrosion-resistant cementitious mortars built for wastewater environments
  • Rebuilds failed benches and inverts to smooth, hydraulically sound geometry
System

A cementitious rehab program, specified per structure.

CEI runs a cementitious-only rehab program. Material and thickness are specified per structure based on H₂S exposure, wall condition, and asset criticality.

Surface prep

Pressure washing, mechanical abrasion, and infiltration control (hydraulic cement plugging) prepare the substrate. Prep is inspected before any material is applied.

Structural rebuild

Fiber-reinforced cementitious mortars rebuild wall thickness and restore structural integrity to the specified compressive strength — walls, benches, inverts, and cone.

Corrosion-resistant coat

Calcium-aluminate cementitious systems purpose-built for sanitary sewer H₂S environments. Applied to spec thickness and confirmed by depth-gauge readings per structure.

Every structure documented — before, during, and after.

Pre-condition report

Photographic condition survey with wall-loss estimate, infiltration mapping, and NASSCO MACP-style scoring per structure.

Coating log

Mixed-material batch numbers, ambient conditions, wet-film readings, and cure times recorded per lift, per structure.

Final QC

Post-application photographs, holiday testing (where specified), and a per-structure closeout summary with GPS coordinates.

Warranty support

Manufacturer-backed warranties on approved coating systems, plus CEI's own workmanship warranty on the installation.
